Bahama Body Tanning Solution:
What is the difference between the clear, dark and sun-kissed red tanning solutions? The difference is only cosmetic and temporary. All three contain the same high quapty DHA, dihydroxyacetone, and transport vehicle or transport solution. The three tanning solutions differ only in the quantity of stain, or bronzer, added to the product.
The clear contains no bronzer while the dark and sun-kissed red contain similar amounts of bronzer, but differ in color. The purpose of a bronzer as an additive is two fold. First, since all DHA requires three to eight hours to set, the bronzer gives the customer an instant tan and instant gratification. Second, the bronzer allows operators, especially the novice, to see where they have sprayed the customer.
As soon as the customer showers or bathes, typically the next morning, all bronzers wash off and go down the drain. But, by this time the underlying tan has set so the customer notices pttle difference.
The underlying sunless tan will always be the same regardless of whether the customer uses the clear, dark, or sun-kissed red solution.
Bahama Body Spritz Solution:
You want your customer to return repeatedly for sunless tan applications. Your customer will not return if their sunless tan is less than perfect. If you do not use Bahama Body exfoliating spritz, you risk an imperfect tan. Here is why.
To achieve the perfect tan your customer’s skin must be properly prepared. The skin must have the ideal PH level. PH is a measure of the acidity and alkalinity of the skin. The only way to insure that your customer’s skin has the ideal PH level is to spritz them completely just prior to their Bahama Body sunless tan application.
The onus is on you. The customer may think that because they showered minutes prior to coming to your salon that they are properly exfoliated. They are wrong. Here is why.
No matter how thoroughly a person rinses after bathing or showering, they will have residual amounts of soap on their skin. This soap is the kiss-of-death to the perfect tan. Minute amounts of Dove soap, for example, will cause blotchiness to appear immediately after the tan has set, and later as it fades.
Therefore, you must insist that your customers thoroughly spritz prior to their Bahama Body tan application.
Blotchiness and streaking are caused by uneven absorption of DHA into the skin cells. The PH level of the skin more than any other factor determines, or drives, the efficiency of DHA absorption
