I have a simple contract that I use when booking private events but I am wondering what is the one line in your contract that you would NEVER remove? for example I got burned last year by a large clothing store and spent countless hours playing " collection" games in the end I finally did get my payment but I never recovered any of the costs of collection so I added this to my contract :
"The client agrees to pay the balance due, upon the arrival of the artist at the event; unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed to by the artist prior to the date of the event. If the balance is not available prior to the artist setting up, the artist reserves the right to leave. The client is responsible for any and all collection costs for delinquent payments."
