I wasn't sure where to post this, and I can't really say that it was an event... My son's 9th birthday party. I sprayed great tattoos and had a Couple that is going to the SF Pride parade tomorrow, (today). She wanted some gay pride tat's but I didn't have any. I took the woman/man symbol and did half, flipped it around and did the other half. . woman/woman...
?? #1 Why is the white soooo hard to spray?? I still am using the spectrum because the PP isn't here yet. The white is really hard to spray! Then, when I back flushed the system I got blue in my white... AAccK! PLUS...Takes forever to change colors.... What a waste of ink.
?? #2 The Duratat ink is gummy gummy gummy. My airbrush started to clog pretty quickly. 5 or so tat's in... I think I should get a couple more airbrushes to have as back up. Unclick the clogged one, and click on the new.

White is to thick, if you add some distilled water a few drops at a time and mix this will take care of it. I Hate the white. I use the same airbrush all day. I get dry tip, but that easy to take care of. But having a clean second airbrush is a good idea to have and something I recommend to all airbrushers, no matter what ink or system or multi-brush system they may use. Congrats to your son on his birthday and quick thinking on the stencil. Tatstore has a girl/girl or boy/boy but they are really small, so if you order one I would get a large one made. Good luck!

Yeah, the white is yucky, but I did a girls night in tonight, and kept a container of Tat off near. I dipped the tip of the airbrush in it between stencils. That made a huge difference! Also, a 50% water 50% tat-off in the furthest bottle to blow out the brush occasionally.
I will try thinning the white, and I always use distilled in the thing, because I don't want any weird minerals in my paint. Other than that, I'm off to a good start.
Got a possible bachelorette party, and a couple connections from the night in! Yes!

Hi, just wanted to share my experience with TaT's airbrushes: I had the same problem with clogging up, so I had to buy two backups. After all I start having nozzles going bad in few days of work and all other little things, so I switched to IWATA ECLIPSE and that thing works like AK-47, no matter how dirty it gets it can work all day with no cleaning, very law maintenance, absolutely worry less!!!!! I'm loving it!!!

Add some distilled water to your white, by the drop, and give it a really good shake. I ended up taking my white off my PP and have it on a separate gun. After I use it I just clean it real quick with my handy dandy electric toothbrush. Its habit now and I don't really think about it. I use white A LOT, people around here are generally tan or darker skin and the white just helps it pop.
Aren't the Prides fun? We have a blast doing them! We found that the large bear claws are popular, anything in rainbow, and the male/male or female/female symbols. Last year we made up a bunch of 'specialty' stencils, but they really were not used. Oh, except the 'bad girl looking for a bad boy' stencil was switched up a bunch; 'bad boy looking for bad boy' and 'bad girl looking for bad girl'. I'd actually like to get those made up, cause it is a pain lining it up. ;) Now, if I had had a stencil of Tiffany (80's star) or a 'I <3 Tiffany' at the Pride we did last week, I would have sold a TON of them. She was there and VERY popular. Next year I will find out who the headliner is and make up stencils for sure!

before you add the water to it, try and strain it first, and see if that helps. My mom and I strained it, then added water to it, thinking it was still too thick, and we found that the same amount of water when it was un strained made the ink too thin when it was strained. Just a quick thought. Good luck!!
